Terms of Service
Effective October 24, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Vocalibrate iPhone app and this website (together, the “App”), operated by VibeCurrent LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Company”, “we”, “us”).
By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the App.
1. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf, and is responsible for your use of the App.
2. Accounts
You can use the App without an account. Your progress is then stored only on your phone, and it is lost if you delete the App or lose the phone. With an account, your progress is stored on our servers so it can be restored.
If you create an account, you agree to:
- give accurate information;
- keep your password secure;
- take responsibility for activity under your account.
You can delete your account at any time in the App, under Settings, then Delete account.
3. Price, subscriptions and payments
The App is free to use today. We may offer paid features or subscriptions in future. If we do, the price, what it includes and how it renews will be shown before you buy, and:
- purchases are made and billed through the Apple App Store;
- subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in your Apple ID’s subscription settings;
- if a free trial is offered and you don’t cancel before it ends, it becomes a paid subscription;
- refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. We don’t issue refunds directly.
4. Your sentences
Some exercises ask you to write or say sentences. They remain yours. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use them to run and improve the App: to check, correct and translate them, store them with your progress, and study them to improve how the App checks sentences and schedules reviews. This licence ends when you delete your account.
Don’t submit anything unlawful, hateful or harassing, or personal information about other people. How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
5. Automated feedback
Your sentences are checked by an AI model, and the App rates your other answers automatically. That feedback is meant to help you learn and can be wrong. Vocalibrate is a study tool: its ratings are not a certified assessment of your language ability, and we don’t promise any particular result from using it.
6. Our content and licence to you
The App and its content, including its word lists, decks, definitions, example sentences, recordings, design and software, belong to the Company or its licensors and are protected by law.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own non-commercial learning. No other rights are granted.
You may quote a definition or example sentence from the website’s word pages, a few at a time, with a link to the page it came from.
7. What you agree not to do
- copy, extract or republish the App’s word lists, decks, definitions, example sentences or recordings in bulk, by hand or by automated means, or use them to make another word list, dictionary, app or course;
- reverse engineer, decompile or modify the App, except where the law allows it;
- access the App’s servers other than through the App, use automated means to send requests, or get around its limits;
- interfere with the App’s security or other people’s use of it;
- use the App for anything unlawful.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using the App at any time, and delete your account in the App. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, or if we stop offering the App, in which case we will try to give you notice.
9. Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that progress will never be lost.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or progress. The Company’s total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim and fifty US dollars ($50).
Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.
11. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any legal action arising from them will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in the State of Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this doesn’t take away protections the law of your country gives you.
12. Apple App Store terms
If you got the App from the Apple App Store:
- These Terms are between you and the Company, not Apple. The Company, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
- Your licence is limited to using the App on Apple-branded products you own or control, as the Usage Rules in Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions allow.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to meet any warranty that applies, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
- The Company, not Apple, is responsible for any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection claims.
- If anyone claims that the App or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, the Company, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending and settling that claim.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must also follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the App, such as your wireless carrier’s.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and once you accept them, Apple may enforce them against you.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you in the App or by email if a change is significant. If you keep using the App after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms.
14. General
If any part of these Terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a right, we haven’t given it up. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them to a successor of our business.
